Hi, I’m Haris 👋

I’m Haris Andrianakis, founder of Futur Labs LLC. Before Meli, I spent over ten years at Google as an Information Security Engineer, where I led the team that scanned Google’s entire codebase for vulnerable dependencies, worked on Tink, its open-source cryptography library, and was the lead security reviewer for iOS apps. Before that, I was a Senior Security Consultant at Cigital, helping companies find and fix security flaws in their software.

After a career spent protecting other people’s data, I built Meli the way a security engineer would want a finance app to work: it runs on your Mac, reads only transaction alerts from your inbox, and keeps your spending history local. No bank logins, no cloud copy of your transactions, no account to create.

Privacy shouldn’t feel like a trade-off, though. Meli is a polished Mac app with smart features like automatic categorization, budgets, and spending insights built in. They follow the same rules as everything else: insights are computed from the data on your Mac, and Smart Categorization is opt-in, sends limited transaction details and never your emails, and can run entirely locally if you prefer.
