These terms govern your use of the Meli application and the trymeli.app website, both provided by Futur Labs LLC ("we", "us"). By using Meli, you agree to these terms.

What Meli is

Meli is a budgeting application that reads transaction alert emails from your email account and extracts spending data from them. It runs locally on your device and stores all data on your device.

Meli Lite and Meli Pro

Meli Lite is available without charge. Meli Pro is an annual subscription that adds Smart Categorization, recurring transaction schedules, unlimited rules, and full-history insights. Meli Pro costs $59.99 USD per year, plus any taxes shown at checkout. Lemon Squeezy displays the final amount and currency before purchase.

Free trial

Your first install starts a free 14-day Meli Pro trial automatically after setup. No payment method is collected for the trial, and the trial never converts into a paid subscription or any charge. When the trial ends, Meli continues as Meli Lite. Trials are limited to one per person.

Purchases and automatic renewal

Meli Pro is purchased through Lemon Squeezy for $59.99 USD per year, plus any applicable taxes. The subscription renews automatically each year at the price shown before renewal unless you cancel it.

Cancellation

You may cancel through the Lemon Squeezy Customer Portal. Cancellation stops future renewal payments. You retain Meli Pro access through the end of your paid annual billing period. After the subscription expires, Meli continues in Lite. Your local data remains on your Mac, and Pro-only history and rules remain stored but are unavailable until Meli Pro is active again.

Refunds, returns, and billing disputes

Payments are generally non-refundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time in an annual subscription, except where required by law or approved for a duplicate charge, billing error, or other exceptional circumstance.

To request a refund or dispute a charge, review our Refunds & Cancellations Policy and contact hello@trymeli.app with your Lemon Squeezy order number and the email address used for the purchase. Approved refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy and may take up to 10 days to appear on your statement.

Payments and merchant of record

Purchases, subscription billing, applicable sales taxes, refunds, and chargebacks are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase.

Not financial advice

Meli is a personal organization tool, not a financial service. It is not a substitute for professional financial, tax, or accounting advice. Transaction data extracted from emails may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You should not rely solely on Meli for financial decisions. Always verify important financial information against your official bank and credit card statements.

Your responsibilities

Legal and export restrictions

You may not use, export, re-export, or transfer Meli in violation of applicable export-control, trade-sanctions, or other laws. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Meli is lawful where you live.

Third-party services

Meli integrates with third-party services as described in our Privacy Policy, including Sentry for crash reporting and an optional smart categorization service. Your use of these features is subject to the respective third-party terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

No warranty

Meli is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that Meli will be error-free, that transaction data will be accurate or complete, or that the application will meet your specific requirements. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of any data parsed from your emails.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Futur Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of Meli. This includes, without limitation, any damages resulting from inaccurate transaction data, missed transactions, or incorrect categorization.

Intellectual property, software license, and Pro services

Meli, including its software, interface, documentation, and content provided by Futur Labs LLC, is owned by Futur Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, Futur Labs LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to download, install, and use the Meli application for your personal, non-commercial use. This license applies whether you use Meli Lite or have access to Meli Pro. The Meli application is licensed, not sold, and no ownership or intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.

A Meli Pro trial or paid subscription provides access to the Smart Categorization cloud service and unlocks designated features within the Meli application for the applicable trial or subscription period. Purchasing a Meli Pro subscription does not constitute the purchase of the Meli application. When your Pro access ends, the application reverts to the features available through Meli Lite, as described in these Terms.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of Meli. Third-party software and content may be subject to separate license terms. This section does not claim ownership of data that Meli processes on your behalf.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Meli after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
